On wednesday, 29 October 2025 —The Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC), with support from the European Union, convened a stakeholder consultation and communication strategy meeting with media and civil society partners at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Federal Capital Territory. The meeting focused on advancing advocacy for the Special Seats Bill before the National Assembly.

Discussions centred on the need for consistent and unified messaging to communicate the Bill’s purpose and intent, assess the effectiveness of ongoing communication strategies, and strengthen engagement with lawmakers to build political support.

Participants resolved to enhance media advocacy, deepen grassroots mobilisation, and sustain collaboration among CSOs, journalists, and women’s groups to secure passage of the Bill.
