The Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre successfully hosted the 2025 Legislative Internship Model Legislative Assembly (MLA) as part of its ongoing Legislative Internship Programme.
Supported by the European Union, the MLA is designed to strengthen youth participation and deepen understanding of legislative procedures within Nigeria’s National Assembly.
During the session, interns translated their learning into practice by simulating a mock plenary, re-enacting real legislative processes such as debates, motions, and decision-making — providing a hands-on experience of how the legislature functions.
The MLA remains a key highlight of the programme, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical legislative engagement.
