The 2025 PLAC interns gathered again on Friday, 17 November 2025 at the PLAC office in Guzape, Abuja for the second bi-weekly meeting (9:00 am–1:30 pm), supported by the European Union. After arrival, tea/coffee, and timesheet submission, Executive Director Clement Nwankwo gave brief welcome remarks, recognising the interns’ first experiences in National Assembly offices.

The morning focused on practical skills. From 10:00–11:00 am, Dr. (Mrs.) Rahila Ahmadu, retired Director at the National Secretariat of Nigerian Legislatures, delivered a hands-on session on drafting motions and resolutions—covering structure, common errors, and real plenary examples that interns can apply immediately in their placements.

The session closed with inspiration and action. Dr. Matthew Ayibakuro (FCDO) spoke from 11:00 am–12:00 pm on how young people drive good governance through small, consistent steps. This was followed by a lively Model Legislative Agenda (MLA) officers’ election (12:00–1:20 pm) facilitated by Omoruyi Austin Aigbe (WADEMOS), complete with nominations, campaigns, and voting. Programme Manager Dr. Nkiru Uzodi wrapped up at 1:30 pm, congratulating the new MLA leadership.
