On Friday, 31 October 2025, the 2025 cohort of the PLAC Legislative Internship Programme (supported by the European Union) gathered at the PLAC office in Guzape, Abuja for an action-packed first bi-weekly meeting.

- 9:30 am: Arrival & registration
- 10:00 am: Warm welcome by Executive Director, Clement Nwankwo
- 10:15–11:15 am: Dr. Innocent Mebiri (Director of Clerks, Senate) broke down the National Budget Cycle and the legislature’s crucial role in appropriation.
- 11:15 am–12:00 pm: Omolara Akinyeye (Deputy ED) delivered essential training on safeguarding, professional boundaries, and creating respectful workplaces.
- 12:00–1:00 pm: The one and only Senator Ita Enang, CON (former Senator, Reps member & Presidential Adviser on NASS) gave an insider’s masterclass on “From Bill to Law” – complete with real-life stories from the trenches of Nigerian policymaking.
- 1:00–1:15 pm: Wrap-up by Programme Manager, Nkiru Uzodi.
