On 21st October 2025, the PLAC 2025 Legislative Interns visited the National Assembly to gain firsthand experience of its workings and better prepare for their upcoming committee assignments. Led by the Education & Excursions Unit of the Sergeant-At-Arms, the interns explored the Assembly’s structure, functions, and legislative processes.

During the tour, they visited key chambers and offices, learning about the process of drafting legislation, the roles of committees, parliamentary procedures, and the importance of collaboration among lawmakers. Both the Senate and House of Representatives formally recognized the PLAC interns.

This experience provided valuable insights into the legislative environment and strengthened their readiness to engage effectively in their internship roles. The tour represents a crucial step in the interns’ professional development, equipping them to make meaningful contributions in the weeks ahead and deepening their understanding of public service.
