Position: Legal Researchers (on Human Rights Litigation)
Location: Abuja (On-site)
Duration: 3 months (November 2025 – February 2026)
Engagement Type: Full-time, Short-term Contract
Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) is seeking experienced lawyers to support the development of a practical guide for lawyers interested in human rights and public interest litigation. The role involves identifying landmark cases, sourcing legal precedents and drafting concise analytical summaries to support practitioners.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct legal research in human rights and public interest litigation.
• Identify and compile landmark human rights case law and precedents.
• Source legal forms and templates for litigation.
• Analyse case outcomes to highlight key legal principles and lessons.
• Contribute to drafting a litigation reference guide.
Requirements:
• LL.B degree and Call-to-Bar qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years post-call legal experience.
• Experience in litigation, human rights or public interest advocacy.
• Strong legal research, analytical and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
Remuneration: Competitive and based on experience.
