The House of Representatives at its plenary session of Tuesday 7th May 2019 rescinded clauses of its earlier passed Nigerian Police Trust Fund Bill, 2018 before recommitting same to its Committee of the Whole.
This came as Hon. Edward Pwajok (PDP: Plateau) highlighted via a motion that the National Assembly’s Directorate of Legal Services had made important observations that could be critical to the implementation of the Fund while cleaning up the Bill.
Following this, the House rescinded its decision on affected clauses before referring same to its Committee of the Whole for consideration and passage.
Prior to Hon. Pwajok’s motion, both chambers of the National Assembly had passed the Nigerian Police Trust Fund Bill.
