Senate Condemns Murder Of Female Preacher

The Senate has condemned the murder of female preacher, Mrs. Eunice Mojisola Olawole who was allegedly killed by religious fanatics at the early hours of Saturday, 9th July 2016 in Kubwa, Abuja.

Elaborating on the murder of the 42 year old deceased Evangelist and mother of 7 children at the Senate plenary on Wednesday 13th July 2016, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu (APC:Lagos), Chairman Senate Committee on Women Affairs and Youth Development decried the spate of unwarranted killings across the country stating that it was unlawful to take human life. Sen. Tinubu also revealed that Mrs. Olawole had preached for several years and was dismayed that no one responded to the deceased’s call for help. She also encouraged members of the public to respond to distress calls and be their brother’s keeper.

Six people have been arrested in relation to the crime, the police and other security agencies have promised to intensify investigation on the murder.
