Senate Appoints New Majority Leader

The Senate has appointed Sen. Ahmed Lawan (APC: Yobe) as the new Senate Majority Leader. In a letter read by the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki (APC: Kwara) at the plenary session of Tuesday, January 10th, 2017, the Senate President stated that the decision to replace Sen. Ali Ndume (APC: Borno) with Sen. Ahmed Lawan was communicated by the All Progressive Congress (APC) caucus of the senate.
