On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) hosted the 2024 edition of its Model Legislative Assembly (MLA) a simulation exercise designed to deepen youth understanding of Nigeria’s legislative process.

Supported by the European Union (EU), the MLA serves as a powerful platform where interns from PLAC’s Legislative Internship Programme recreate live plenary experiences through a mock parliamentary session.

From bill presentation to debate and decision-making, the MLA allows interns to put their training, observations, and civic knowledge into real-time action—building confidence, legislative fluency, and leadership capacity.
