The House of Representatives at its plenary session of Wednesday, January 18, 2017 resolved to set up a ten-member committee to investigate the military airstrike, which accidentally killed no fewer than 50 people and injuring over a 100 at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camp in Rann, Borno State. Although the House adjourned hearing on the accidental airstrike as moved by Hon. Sani Zorro Mohammed (APC: Jigawa), they took immediate action on the matter by setting up this committee. The issue would be fully debated at a later date.
