The welcome reception for the 2023 PLAC Legislative Interns was organised at the PLAC office on 3rd October 2023 to welcome the interns to the internship programme and promote team bonding among the cohort and members of the PLAC Staff.
The Executive Director of PLAC, Mr. Clement Nwankwo in his remark, recounted a brief history of how he started out as a Human Right Activist and the importance of being passionate about charting courses that led to good governance and change in the society. He concluded by encouraging the interns to be of excellent conduct at the National Assembly.
PLAC’s Deputy Executive Director, Omolara Akinyeye guided the interns to make introductions and write out their expectations from the Internship Programme. The intern’s expectations included; networking, becoming more informed about the legislative process, gaining exposure about the National Assembly, building career paths and forming long lasting professional relationships.
The Programme Manager, Nkiru Uzodi briefly introduced the PLAC team to the interns and unloaded the activities of the orientation programme to them.
