The Forum of National Women Leaders and National Youth Leaders of Political Parties, with support from Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) and the European Union (EU), held its Dialogue & Strategy Session at the Wells Carlton Hotel, Asokoro, Abuja. The session built on the high-level Consultative Engagement with National Leadership of Political Parties and focused on strategic collaboration, strengthening the roles of women and youth in advancing advocacy for the Special Seats Bill.
In a press conference at the end of the session, the Women Leaders called for the immediate passage of the Special Seats for Women Bill currently before the National Assembly, describing it as “a national imperative to correct long-standing gender imbalances and guarantee women’s rightful place in governance.”
The Forum also resolved to intensify sensitisation efforts within political parties and to mobilise stakeholders to build broad-based support for the Bill.
