The 2026 PLAC Legislative Internship Programme (LIP) concluded with a debriefing session designed to provide interns with an opportunity to reflect on their experiences, share feedback and consider the lessons gained throughout the Programme.

The session brought together the 2026 cohort, PLAC staff and former LIP interns for an engaging exchange focused on learning, professional growth and the impact of the internship experience.

Reflecting on the Internship Experience

Welcome remarks were delivered by Clement Nwankwo, Executive Director of PLAC, who congratulated the interns on successfully completing the Programme and expressed confidence in their ability to excel in their future endeavours.

He encouraged the interns to build on the knowledge, skills and relationships developed during their time in the Programme and to continue seeking opportunities to contribute meaningfully to society.

Intern Feedback and Reflection

The session featured an intern feedback and reflection session, during which participants shared their experiences throughout the Programme.

Interns reflected on their key lessons and experiences, highlighting aspects of the Programme that contributed to their understanding of legislative processes, democratic governance and professional development. They also provided feedback and suggestions on areas where the Programme could be further improved for future cohorts.

Learning from Alumni

The debriefing also featured contributions from former LIP interns, who shared experiences from their own journeys after completing the Programme.
