PLAC 2026 Legislative Internship Opportunity

Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) is implementing a 10-week full-time internship program with support from the European Union (EU) for young Nigerians who wish to gain knowledge of legislative practice and process at the National Assembly.

Internship Requirements:

  1. Nigerian citizen between 21 and 35 years of age
  2. At least a first degree in any discipline from a Tertiary Institution 
  3. Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Programme 
  4. Good English writing and speaking skills
  5. Good computer skills
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills

Internship Location:
Abuja, FCT

Duration of Internship: 
May 2026 – July 2026

Logistics:
Only stipends to cover transportation and lunch costs within Abuja will be provided. Other logistics expenses will be borne by the interns. It is advised that prospective interns be able to reside within Abuja or bear the cost of residing in Abuja throughout the duration of the internship, as PLAC will not provide accommodation nor relocation costs.

To Apply

  • Complete the online application form and upload your CV (in Microsoft Word or PDF format), saved in your name. Your CV must include your State of origin, date of birth, and NYSC service details (place of service).
  • Include a “Statement of Purpose” on the last page of your CV, explaining why you wish to participate in the internship. Your CV should not exceed two (2) pages, and the Statement of Purpose should be no more than 300 words; both must be combined and uploaded as a single document, with the total length not exceeding three (3) pages.

Please note that you will also be required to copy and paste your Statement of Purpose into the online application form. 

Application Deadline:

All applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM (West Africa Time – WAT), Friday, 10 April 2026.  

Applications received after this deadline, or that do not comply with the stated application requirements, will not be considered.
