PLAC and other partners supported a Capacity Building Workshop for Election Petition Tribunal Registry staff with the theme: “Challenges arising from election petition tribunals and the way forward.” It held on the 9th and 10th of January, 2023 at the National Judicial Institute, Abuja.
The workshop was declared open by the Honourable President, Court of Appeal, Honourable Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, CFR. The participants included secretaries, registrars, clerks of election petition tribunals, deputy chief registrars of the Court of Appeal from the various divisions and legal officers of Independent National Electoral Commission from all the States of the Federation.
Some of the resource persons/ facilitators at the workshop include Justice Peter Affen of the Court of Appeal, Yola division; Mr. Mom Goon, Director; Finance and Accounts, Court of Appeal, Headquarters, Abuja; Hassan Amida Suleiman, Chief Registrar of the Federal High Court, Abuja; and Ishaka Mudi Dikko, SAN.
