The President, Muhammadu Buhari has transmitted the Bill seeking to establish the Board of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Federal Fire and Immigration to the National Assembly for consideration and passage.
In his letter which was read at the plenary session of the Senate and House of Representatives on Tuesday, 15 February 2022, President Buhari stated that the Bill seeks to adequately reflect the relationship between the Board, the Corps, and the Services. According to him, the Bill will align the compositions, structures, functions and processes of these agencies which will enable them attain their constitutional mandate.
