The House of Representatives adjourned plenary for the third time on Wednesday 14 November after defective microphones prevented it from having purposeful discussions on matters listed on its order paper.
According to Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the malfunction was a result of a power surge which had affected the panels of some of the microphones, which were installed at Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999 and had not been changed since then.
This is the third time that the House has adjourned plenary over its faulty microphones.
