PLAC Event: Technical Session with Persons with Disabilities/Marginalised Groups on Barriers to Participation in Civic Space

Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) organised two Technical Sessions for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and marginalised groups on 3^rd and 10^th November 2023, in Abuja, with support from USAID-SCALE. The participants engaged in robust discussions on the unique challenges confronting the civic participation of PWDs and marginalised groups, and identified specific issues to be priosritised in the course of advocacy for immediate intervention. The participants also identified strategies and interventions to garner support from specific stakeholders and the general public for ongoing advocacy efforts aimed at protecting and fulfilling the rights of PWDs.
