Interns from the concluded 2021 PLAC Legislative Internship programme gave their opinions on how young people can get involved in governance, in an interview with PLAC’s online magazine, PLAC BEAM. The interns were placed in various committees of the Senate and the House of Representatives, where they gained first-hand insight into the operations of the National Assembly. Since the inception of the internship programme in 2013, the participation of youths in politics, has been a recurring conversation, and has gained more traction over the years, with growing interest and resilience among young people to participate in the process of governance.
