Constitution

Policy and Legal advocacy Centre (PLAC) launched a Constitution Resources page on its website in June 2021. This features the Constitution alteration process, previous alteration efforts, advocacy toolkit for civil society organisations (CSOs) on Constitution Reform. In addition, it also contains past Constitution alterations, as well as details on the current ongoing Constitution review exercise by the 9th Assembly. These include issues raised at the Constitution review public hearings, members of the Constitution Review Committees in both houses of the National Assembly and the Constitution alteration bills referred to the respective Committees. Furthermore, the page features the 1999 Nigerian Constitution with the first, second, third and fourth alterations.
