The National Assembly will reconvene plenary on Tuesday, 26 February, 2019 following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) adjustment of General election dates to Saturday, 23rd January, 2019. Prior to its newly rescheduled date, the Senate and the House of Representatives had planned to resume on 19th February.
The shift in resumption dates could increase the delay in commencement of deliberations on the 2019 Appropriation Budget.
The National Assembly had approved N189 billion as INEC’s supplementary budget for the conduct of the 2019 Elections in October last year.
