Position: <\/strong>Legal Researchers (on Human Rights Litigation)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location: <\/strong>Abuja (On-site)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration: <\/strong>3 months (November 2025 \u2013 February 2026)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Engagement Type: <\/strong>Full-time, Short-term Contract<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) is seeking experienced lawyers to support the development of a practical guide for lawyers interested in human rights and public interest litigation. The role involves identifying landmark cases, sourcing legal precedents and drafting concise analytical summaries to support practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Conduct legal research in human rights and public interest litigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Identify and compile landmark human rights case law and precedents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Source legal forms and templates for litigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Analyse case outcomes to highlight key legal principles and lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Contribute to drafting a litigation reference guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 LL.B degree and Call-to-Bar qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Minimum of 5 years post-call legal experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Experience in litigation, human rights or public interest advocacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Strong legal research, analytical and writing skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Ability to work independently and with a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remuneration:<\/strong> Competitive and based on experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
