The House of Representatives has mandated its Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) to investigate a report on the alleged missing petroleum products belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) with a market value of about N11billion stored in a private Tank Farm in Lagos.<\/p>\n
Moving the motion at the House plenary of Thursday, April 27th<\/sup> 2017, Hon. Yusuf Tajudeen (PDP: Kogi) described the \u201csudden disappearance\u201d of the petroleum product as creating a large void in the nation’s anticipated revenue generation. Hon. Tajudeen\u2019s also informed the chamber that although the owner of the Tank Farm agreed to have lifted the products without authorization, he had failed to meet up with the deadline imposed for its return. Thus, the NNPC had referred the matter to the Department for State Service (DSS) for further investigation.
