In the quarter, several incidents relating to the violation of civil and political rights were reported. The report also highlights the responses of security agencies to some of the abuses reported to them. However, insecurity remains a huge concern, with violent attacks and threats across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According\nto the report, human rights protection in Nigeria is at an abysmal level. In\na democratic society, respect, protection and fulfilment of human rights are\nexpected to improve over time.
