These included 5 women issue bills, which were voted down by a majority of Nigeria\u2019s male dominated National Assembly. One of it was the bill to create additional special seats for women in the National and State Houses of Assembly. The reactions that trailed the rejection of these bills included widespread criticism and protests by women and women groups at the National Assembly in Abuja and in some States across the country.
