Sustained advocacy has yielded results over time. A recent example is the Electoral Act 2022, which President Muhammadu Buhari assented to in February 2022, after rejecting several Electoral bills since his election in 2015. This is one of many milestones that can be attributed to the efforts of Nigerian civil society.
