{"id":1052,"date":"2019-07-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-07-23T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/placng.org\/Legist\/senate-calls-for-another-national-security-summit\/"},"modified":"2020-01-09T02:37:58","modified_gmt":"2020-01-09T02:37:58","slug":"senate-calls-for-another-national-security-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/placng.org\/Legist\/senate-calls-for-another-national-security-summit\/","title":{"rendered":"Senate Calls for Another National Security Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Senate has called for a National Summit on Security following the killing of Mrs Foluke Olakunrin, (daughter of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, leader of the Yoruba socio-political Afenifere Group) and fresh concerns on the incessant security challenges across the country. \u00a0Although a date is yet to be scheduled for the summit, its planned outcome as well as what it intends to achieve from the recommendation(s) from the meeting are questionable.<\/p>\n<p>It will be recalled that the 8<sup>th<\/sup> Senate held a two-day Summit in February 2018 to review the security architecture of the country.
