The Senate President, Bukola Saraki has released details of the 2018 Budget of the National Assembly.
The breakdown of the N139,500,000,000 total budget sum included a summary of the expenditure of ten offices (National Assembly Office, Senate, House of Representatives, National Assembly Service Commission, Legislative Aides Public Accounts Committee Senate, Public Accounts Committee, House of Representatives, General Services, National Assembly Legislative Institute and Service Wide Votes) and individual line items. From the summary, the House of Representatives has the highest allocation with N57, 425,237,790 while the Senate has the second highest allocation with N35, 582,085,699.
The Senate President has linked his action to the 8th Assembly’s commitment to accountability and transparency.
