PLAC Production: Temporary Special Measures

This awareness video by Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) explains the use of Temporary Special Measures (TSMs) to promote the representation of women in the legislature. TSMs are aimed at accelerating women’s access in political participation and decision making. As the world commemorated the 2023 International Women’s Day  on March 8, with the theme #EmbraceEquity, it is important for countries like Nigeria with an abysmal number of women in politics to begin to think of effective strategies to address the situation.
