Civil society in Nigeria has been at the forefront of advocacy on a plethora of issues affecting the Nigerian populace. Sustained advocacy has yielded results over time. A recent example is the Electoral Act 2022, which President Muhammadu Buhari assented to in February 2022, after rejecting several Electoral bills since his election in 2015. This is one of many milestones that can be attributed to the efforts of Nigerian civil society. This documentary features some of the achievements realised by civil society efforts in Nigeria’s history, particularly from the era of return to democracy in 1999.
