PLAC Donates Equipment to Support INEC’s New Department

On 16th December 2021, Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) with support from the MacArthur Foundation, made donation of computer, photocopier and other office accessories to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s newly created Gender and Inclusivity Department. The donation was made by PLAC’s Executive Director, Clement Nwankwo at a brief ceremony at INEC’s headquarters in Abuja. The equipment were received by the Secretary of the Commission, Mrs. Rose Orianran-Anthony on behalf of the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

Since 2010, PLAC has received support from the MacArthur Foundation, to support the advancement of election management in Nigeria. This support has covered a variety of activities including: Providing expert technical assistance and group advice through the Technical Advisory Group in the Office of The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and supporting the recruitment and work of mid-level Consultants in the office of the INEC Chairman.
