On Saturday, January 4, the shocking news of the passing of Prof Nuhu Yaqub, PLAC Board Chairman was received. Prof Yakub lived a lifetime of exemplary service to education, governance, and nation-building.

Professor Nuhu Yaqub, a distinguished academic and public intellectual, brought unparalleled dedication and insight to his role as Chairman of PLAC’s Board. His visionary leadership and commitment to the principles of democracy, justice, and good governance have been instrumental in shaping PLAC’s mission and advancing its work over the years.

As a scholar and former Vice-Chancellor of both the University of Abuja and Sokoto State University, Professor Yaqub’s wealth of knowledge and expertise were invaluable assets to PLAC. Under his guidance, the organization navigated complex challenges, expanded its reach, and deepened its impact in promoting democratic governance and advocating for the rule of law in Nigeria.
