PLAC Appoints Deputy Executive Director

Policy and Legal Advocacy Director (PLAC) has appointed Omolara Akinyeye as its Deputy Executive Director. Akinyeye, a lawyer was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2001 She has been a staff at PLAC since 2011 and risen from the position of Programme Officer to Senior Programme Officer. She later became Programme Manager and then Senior Programme Manager. Her appointment as Deputy Executive Director, was made by PLAC’s Board of Directors on 9^th December 2021. Before joining PLAC in 2011, she had worked at one of Nigeria’s early human rights groups, Centre for Constitutional Governance and at T.B. Akinyeye and Co., a law firm and is also a Fellow of the Commonwealth Policy Studies Unit, London.
